Neighborhood Oral History Project Proposal
During the past decade, many of the historic buildings in the Northern Liberties neighborhood have been torn down to make way for new developments. I have proposed a neighborhood oral history project that would include stories about these cherished buildings that no longer grace our streets, told by the long-time residents who remember them fondly.
Then and Now: Views in Philadelphia 1800s – 2000s
The following two proposals focus on the exhibition of early 19th century prints of historic buildings that I have in my possession. After conservation efforts of the prints are complete, they will serve as a basis for a unique exhibit which will not only predominantly feature the historic prints, but also celebrate the continued preservation efforts of the buildings themselves as we move into the 21st century!
